Threatplane exhibited at Infosecurity Europe 2024, held at ExCeL London on 4–6 June 2024. Europe's largest cybersecurity event brings together thousands of security practitioners, vendors, and leaders from across the industry. Alongside our exhibition stand, Jonny Tyers gave two talks during the conference.
The talks
Jonny presented "Zoom out: holistic security while keeping up delivery" — a session aimed at development and security teams under pressure to ship without letting security slide. The talk argued that without a clear picture of what actually matters in a system, security work tends to scatter across surface-level concerns rather than the risks that could genuinely cause harm.
Threat modelling was the answer: a way to zoom out, look at the whole system, identify where the real threats sit, and use that to focus effort. The core point was that security and delivery speed aren't in opposition — but you do need a north star to avoid wasting time on the wrong things.
