Founder & Managing Director
Jonny started out as a hacker. He recognised early on that often, security is about getting the basics right. Organisations suffer breaches because of the basics — yet technology is now more complex, more interconnected, and more critical than ever before.
He founded Threatplane in 2017 to give technology businesses a practical, scalable way to understand and manage their cybersecurity risks. Over 15 years of hands-on security work across defence and intelligence, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and government informs how the platform and methodology are built.
Jonny writes and speaks on threat modeling, application security, and building security culture inside engineering teams.

Andy has worked in cyber security and critical national infrastructure for 30+ years, defending against nation state attacks and working with the likes of Interpol, ICANN, FBI, City of London Police, New York district attorney ITU and World Economic Forum.
More recently he has been at the forefront of ransomware preparation and response at senior level, developing ransomware response and ransomware negotiation propositions which have been executed in live scenarios.

With integrity and a passion for improving security maturity, he brings a pragmatic approach to complex challenges, providing realistic solutions that balance security effectiveness with budget constraints while building strong teams and maturing security culture across global operations.

Paul Croker brings extensive cybersecurity and broader IT experience at executive level to Threatplane. Paul serves on GTIA’s UK Executive Committee and ISAO Steering Committee, specialising in cybersecurity strategy, information security, and cyber resilience in the MSP and SME space. He’s passionate about making smart security accessible to a wider range of businesses and how Threatplane is making that happen.

Simon is an experienced cyber-security and technology consultant with strong experience in the leadership and delivery of consulting assignments across a broad range of clients including UK Central Government, Central London-Local Authorities, financial services, and SME companies. His experience includes M&A transactions, CISO of a complex local government organisation and cyber security governance definition and implementation.
Principal Consultant
Thomas is an experienced security practitioner and leader, with extensive experience across Financial Services and Health. Threat modelling has always been a key part of assessing security posture for business applications for Thomas. He’s also a guest lecturer on Secure Design at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Flanders, Belgium.

Shoabe is a passionate cybersecurity leader who brings deep technical knowledge and commercial perspectives to bear on the challenges facing customers. His vision, stakeholder management, security expertise and knowledge and effective communication have pushed the security posture forward in the Financial Services and Government sectors in particular.
